Herod by Parfums de Marly is a Woody Spicy fragrance for men. Herod was launched in 2012. The nose behind this fragrance is Olivier Pescheux. Herod is personified by its blend of diverse notes, exuding a smoky vanilla scent.
About the fragrance: This eau de parfum opens on spicy top notes of cinnamon and pepper to then show its powerful heart of tobacco leaf, incense, ciste and osmanthus. These peppery notes are further surrounded by vanilla pods, musk, patchouli and woody accord at the base. An elegant and discernible perfume, for both men and women, it is the epitome of old-world sophistication.
About the bottle: Herod echoes the stunning reputation of its equestrian namesake and is presented in a rich earthy-toned bottle and angular stopper. An ode to vanilla, crowned with tonka bean and sublimated with a hint of cinnamon, Herod leaves behind a delicate sillage which is both warm and bold, classic and exotic.
Top Notes: Cinnamon, Pepper.
Heart Notes: Tobacco Leaf, Incense, Ciste, Osmanthus.
Base Notes: Vanilla pods, Musk, Woody accord, patchouli.
Best time to wear: To warm up in sophistication, during fall and winter.

Suggested Usage:
Fragrance is intensified by the warmth of your own body. Apply in the creases of your knees and elbows for a longer-lasting, stronger scent. After applying, avoid rubbing or dabbing skin. This breaks down the fragrance, causing it to wear off more quickly. If you prefer placing fragrance on your wrists, be sure to reapply after frequent hand-washing, as this tends to rinse off the scent.
