Kouros is an aromatic fougere perfume for men from Yves Saint Laurent, composed by Pierre Bourdon in 1981. Coriander opens it sharp and green, a spicy floral middle follows, and leather gives the base a musky, animalic depth. The mood is bold and unmistakably classic.

Frequently asked questions
What are the notes of Kouros perfume?
Aldehydes, coriander, clary sage, artemisia and bergamot open it. Patchouli, carnation, vetiver, jasmine, geranium, orris root, cinnamon and lavender form the heart, over civet, musk, leather, honey, oakmoss, amber, tonka bean and vanilla.
What does Yves Saint Laurent Kouros smell like?
Brisk and green at first, then spicy and floral, then dense with musk, leather and honey.
- Spray onto clean, dry skin at the pulse points: wrists, neck and behind the ears.
- Hold the bottle about 15–20 cm from the skin; a few sprays are enough.
- Kouros is strong and animalic, so two sprays can be enough to start.
- Store away from heat and direct sunlight.
