Viktor & Rolf launched Flowerbomb in 2005. Perfumers Olivier Polge, Carlos Benaïm and Domitille Bertier created it as a "floral explosion", in a cut-glass bottle shaped like a hand grenade. Flowerbomb Ruby Orchid followed in 2021.
